Good appointment today. My 3 month map. Went from 0% discrimination (first booth test back in October) to 75%!! That was repeating sentences using only my CI to hear! Going to continue practicing and working for more success. :). Audi says their goal for most CI recipients with long term hearing aid use is 50% - so already doing well.
At the same time - my other good news - finally got a new VP installed on Monday! Back to being able to call my parents. Must say my Dad is still hoping for a future phone call sans interpreter. I'm more realistic. I feel invincible making the best use of all the tools available to me - ASL, Video Phone, text/email, lip reading, a hearing aid and a CI, speech, good reading and English skills, etc.
